REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
Last updated: December 9th, 2025

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how we handle refunds, reschedules, and cancellations for Services provided by Pro Resume Center (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

  1. General Principles
  • Because our Services involve significant time, expertise, and proprietary processes, most purchases are non-refundable once work begins or access is granted.
  • We aim to be fair and reasonable, and we may, at our sole discretion, offer credits, reschedules, or partial refunds in exceptional circumstances at our sole discretion.
  • Any exceptions we make for one client do not obligate us to make the same exception for others.
  1. Coaching and Advisory Services

Unless otherwise stated in your agreement or sales page:

  • No refunds after scheduling
Once your initial coaching session is scheduled, fees are generally non-refundable.
  • Rescheduling
    • If you need to reschedule, you must provide at least 24 hours notice.
    • Reschedules with adequate notice will be accommodated as our calendar allows.
    • Sessions cancelled or missed with less than the required notice may be treated as a completed session with no refund or reschedule.
  • Package expiration
Coaching packages must be used within the timeframe specified at purchase. If you do not schedule or use your sessions within that period, remaining sessions may expire without refund.
  1. Done-For-You Branding and Writing Services

This includes resumes, LinkedIn profiles, executive bios, pitch letters, sell sheets, website copy, and similar deliverables.

Unless otherwise specified in your agreement:

  • Once work begins, fees are non-refundable. Work begins when:
    • We receive your payment and send your intake materials, or
    • We start reviewing your information, drafting content, or scheduling project calls
  • Revisions windows
    • We will clearly communicate your revision period
    • You must provide feedback and revision requests within the stated timeframe.
    • If we do not receive feedback within the revision window, we may close the project as completed.
  • Scope changes
    • Requests that add new roles, industries, or targets beyond the original scope may require a new engagement or additional fees.
  • No results guarantees
    • Because we cannot control employer decisions or market dynamics, we do not provide refunds based on job search outcomes.
  1. Digital Products and Downloads

For digital products such as templates, pitch letters, workbooks, self-guided programs, and recordings:

  • All sales are final once access or download is provided.
  • We do not typically offer refunds for digital products, except where:
    • A technical issue on our side prevents access and cannot be resolved, or
    • A specific money-back guarantee is clearly stated at the point of purchase

If you believe you are entitled to a refund under a stated guarantee, contact customerservice@proresumecenter.com with your order details.

  1. Software, AI Tools, and Subscriptions

For software access, portals, and subscription-based tools:

  • Free trials
If a free trial is offered, you will be informed of its length and any conversion to a paid plan.
  • Renewals
Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • Cancellation
    • You may cancel future renewals at any time via your account or by emailing us in advance (at least 5 business days) of your next billing date.
    • Cancellations take effect at the end of the then-current billing period.
    • We do not provide retroactive refunds for periods already billed if you forget to cancel.
  • Prorated refunds
    • We do not typically offer prorated refunds if you cancel mid-cycle.
    • If we terminate a subscription for convenience (not for your breach), we may provide a prorated refund or credit at our sole discretion.
  1. Group Programs, Workshops, and Online Courses

For group coaching, workshops, and cohort-based online programs:

  • Enrollment is generally non-refundable once the program begins or once access to core program materials is granted.
  • If you withdraw before the program start date:
    • We may offer a partial refund or credit, as specified on the program sales page.
  • Transfer options
    • In some cases, we may allow you to transfer your enrollment to a future cohort or a different program, subject to availability and our approval.
  • Participant removal
    • If you are removed from a program for violating community guidelines or engaging in harmful or disruptive conduct, no refunds will be issued.
  1. Events and Retreats

For in-person or destination events and retreats, we typically require deposits and staged payments. The following is a standard framework and may be adjusted by the specific event terms:

7.1 Deposits

  • A non-refundable deposit (for example, 30 percent of the total retreat price) is required to reserve your spot.
  • This deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances, except where we cancel the event without offering an alternative.

7.2 Balance Payments

  • The remaining balance is due by the date stated in the event details or invoice. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in loss of your spot, and your deposit may be forfeited.

7.3 Participant Cancellations

Unless otherwise stated in the event-specific terms, the following will apply:

  • 90 or more days before the retreat start date
    • Deposit: non-refundable
    • Remaining balance: refundable
  • 60 to 89 days before the start date
    • Deposit: non-refundable
    • Remaining balance: 50 percent refundable; the other 50 percent may be converted to a credit for a future retreat or service (used within 12 months)
  • 30 to 59 days before the start date
    • Deposit: non-refundable
    • Remaining balance: may be converted to a credit for a future retreat or service (used within 12 months); no cash refund
  • Fewer than 30 days before the start date
    • No refunds or credits for any amounts paid

7.4 Substitutions

  • You may request to send another qualified participant in your place.
  • Substitutions require our prior written approval and may be subject to administrative fees and suitability review.

7.5 Changes, Cancellations, and Force Majeure

We reserve the right to:

  • Change the retreat venue, schedule, or format (for example, from in-person to virtual) for safety, health, legal, or logistical reasons
  • Cancel or reschedule the retreat due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including force majeure events

If we cancel a retreat and do not reschedule it, your remedy will be limited to:

  • A refund or credit of amounts paid for the retreat registration, as described in the event-specific terms

We are not responsible for:

  • Your travel, lodging, or other personal expenses
  • Airline fees or change costs
  • Any indirect or consequential losses related to event changes or cancellations
  1. Corporate and B2B Agreements

If your organization enters into a separate services agreement, statement of work, or contract, the refund and cancellation terms in that document will govern in the event of a conflict with this Policy.

Where the corporate agreement is silent, this Policy may apply as a default.
